Glass Negative  Gallery

I absolutely love early photographic glass negatives. A rigid surface for the emulsion to coat providing excellent razor-sharp results if proper steps are followed. My Early acquisitions were comprised mostly of portrait studio work. A wonderful diverse collection of challenging studio photographer assignments. It was not uncommon to have negative sizes exceed 11 x 14 inches. As the new media became more mobile, city captures gave way to countryside and farm imagery. I noticed the top three subjects to record were Home, Auto, Family in the early years of photography. Hurricane Harvey took its toll on my collection of glass negatives, but some scans remain.

Children & Pets were a very difficult capture. This one's perfect!
